With the arrival of autumn and the cold days, we have the desire to dedicate ourselves to herbal teas.
Many of you already know that according to Chinese tradition, the interaction between the 5 elements is also considered in the kitchen.
Various colors, flavours, properties of teas and herbal teas can be categorized and used according to our needs.
Today we will give you some suggestions for choosing herbal teas:

Wood – is related to the liver. The classic type of tea of this element is green tea , with a slightly sour taste.
People with the favorable Wood element, or those who need this element, are advised to drink jasmine tea, green tea, mint tea. These teas/herbal teas, belonging to the wood element, strengthen it. They purify the blood and improve vision, are antioxidants and help fight aging.

Fire – is connected to the heart and blood. Teas with a bitter taste, such as various types of red tea, belong to this category. People with the favorable ‘fire’ element are also advised to drink lavender herbal teas, since this too belongs to the ‘fire’ element and strengthens it.

Earth –  is connected with the spleen and types of tea with a sweetish taste. Many types of infusions such as hawthorn, mandarin, jujube, cloves, fennel and basil belong to this element. If your stomach is delicate, it could be a lack of the earth element and these herbal teas could be the right choice for long autumn evenings.

Metal – connected to the lungs and airways. Herbal teas and teas belonging to this group have a slightly spicy taste. People with the favorable ‘metal’ element or those who need this element are advised to choose white tea. Also try linden, especially for coughs and phlegm.

Water- is associated with the kidneys, bladder and urinary tract. The teas belonging to this element are black tea, ginseng, but also lemon infusions . If you lack this element or it is favorable to you, you could choose this type of tea.

We’re going to make our favorite tea.

We greet you wishing you a good and pleasant autumn evening accompanied by your herbal tea.
